He acknowledges receipt of a letter dated 30 Dec 1845, and thanks them on behalf of the council for their assistance to Mr Hartweg [Theodor Hartweg]; he has written to Messrs Barron, Forbes & Co [merchants in Mexico] in Tepic [Mexico] to say the Society will reimburse their payments from Hartweg's credit of £400 that was transferred to them
