François Cels (1771-1832) was a botanist and a nurseryman to His Majesty the Emperor of Austria and the King of Prussia. He was the son of Jacques Phillipe Martin Cels (1740-1806) who was the founder of the nursery at Chaussée du Maine, Paris.
