Black and white photograph of men pumping water by hand in Seven Acres, at RHS Garden Wisley. Dimensions 11.6 (h) x 16 (w) cm. In 1955 and 1957, test borings were made in several areas of Wisley, in an attempt to improve irrigation, but the ground was too muddy and the scheme had to be abandoned
