Black and white engraved plate depicting Sandbeck [Park] in Yorkshire. In 1774, the 4th Earl of Scarbrough commissioned Lancelot 'Capability' Brown to landscape the grounds, including the nearby Roche Abbey. The architect James Paine was commissioned in 1760 to rebuild and extend the house. The house can be seen to the left of the engraving with figures fishing in the nearby river to the right. The book plate bears the imprints 'Published as the Act directs, Augt. 1st. 1779, by W.Watts, Kemp's Row, Chelsea', 'W. Hodgers pinxt.' and 'W. Watts sculpt'.
