Black and white engraved plate depicting Burton Constable in Yorkshire. The house was extensively re-modelled in the 1760's, with William Constable commissioning a number of architects for the project. Lancelot 'Capability' Brown landscaped the grounds between 1772 and 1782. As of 2022, the house is open to the public. The house can be seen in the background of the engraving, with cattle and horses, including two with riders in the foreground. The book plate bears the imprints 'Publish'd as the Act directs Augt. 1st. 1779, by W.Watts, Kemp's Row, Chelsea', 'G. Barret R.A. pinxt' and 'W. Watts, sculpt'.
