Black and white engraved plate depicting High Legh in Cheshire, with two figures and a dog in the foreground. A building [chapel of St Mary's] covered by trees can be glimpsed, with the date 1581 engraved on the front. The house, since demolished, can be seen in the background of the engraving. The book plate bears the imprints 'Publish'd as the Act directs June 1st. 1784, by W.Watts, Chelsea', 'S.Stringer, del', and 'W.Watts, sculp'.
