Scope & content
Black and white engraved plate depicting Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire. The gardens were landscaped by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown. The main house was demolished in 1938 after damage by several fires. A man on horseback can be seen in the forefront of the engraving, with cattle grazing nearby. The book plate bears the imprints 'Publish'd as the Act directs May 1st. 1781, by William Watts, Chelsea', 'T. Malton del', and 'W. Watts sculp'.
