She thanks him for his note to Mr Perry, but she cannot use it this week due to time constraints; she wishes he could see Mitella diphylla; she will leave a bunch of them for him when she passes; she invites him to visit on Sunday so he can enjoy an afternoon on a breezy hilltop; alpine auriculas are looking fine; one has pips 1 7/8 inch in diameter; his gentians are looking fairly well though they began to suffer in the drought; there will be plenty for him in the autumn; Walter successfully packs and sends 25 plants at a time by post most days; she will return his ‘Proserpina’ tomorrow, which she has kept longer than she should have because she was enjoying it
