The oxalis plants arrived and he has sent them on to Pyrford churchyard where he hopes they will flourish; he will be pleased to know they came from the woods at Gravetye; he asks if Robinson knows Bath; he has been visiting there and thinks it a stately and beautiful city; the park is a beautiful hillside and he thinks it well laid out; he never enjoyed a pinetum as much before, in a deep dell, and the trees all labelled with name, habitat and date of import; gardeners have not been idle in the last two centuries; he has fallen from his horse and has a black eye
