Now he is 90 he is anxious to hear from old friends; he has not seen Robinson for years but has happy memories of their association; he is still at the house where Robinson advised on trees; apples and gooseberries abound but the pear crop has been bad this year due to frost; they are completely changed at the Field Office, where he is the only old one left; his eyesight is almost gone, and although he can write, he cannot read easily or see any distance; he sends a photograph taken a few years ago [photograph not present]
