Harrison Weir (1824-1906) was an artist and illustrator of natural history books, particularly birds. He organised the first cat show in England, at the Crystal Palace, London in 1871, and in 1887 he founded the National Cat Club. He was also a keen wild gardener at his home in Kent, and was a keen pomologist.
