Erlangen 6 Mai 1865'. Adalbert Carl Friedrich Hellwig Conrad Schnizlein (1814-1868), known as Adalbert Schnizlein, was a german pharmacist and botanist. In 1850 he became an associate professor of botany at Erlangen, and then Director of the Erlangen Botanic Garden. His best-known work was "Iconographia familiarum naturalium regni vegetabilis" (1843–1870), a taxonomic representation of the plant kingdom..
