Arthur Warwick Sutton (1854-1925) was the son of Martin Hope Sutton, partner in the seed house of Sutton & Sons in Reading. He specialised in food crops and their hybridisation. He served for twenty years on the RHS Fruit & Vegetable Committee, and was a member of the RHS Council from 1913 to 1919. He was one of the original sixty recipients of the Victoria Medal of Honour in 1897..
