He is leaving Liverpool at last, having been delayed by poor weather and difficulties with cargo; Mr R. Harrison [Richard Harrison, merchant in Liverpool] was out of town so he left the letter with his brother at their counting-house [accounting office]; the Orchideae at Aigburth [Aigburth nursery, Liverpool] look well, and they had recently received 'valuable additions' from Demarara [Demerara-Essequibo, Guyana]
