Wright [agent to the state of Guatemala] to instruct his correspondents, Messrs Pedro & Ignacio de Aycinena, merchants in Guatemala, to receive letters or packages from Hartweg, and to forward them to Belize to the merchants Messrs Wright & Nicholson [merchants in Mexico], for shipping to England; Hartweg should write as often as possible; they will inform Frederick Chatfield, the British consul at Guatemala, of Hartweg's arrival, and a credit will be opened with Messrs Aycinena [Aycinena]; Wright instructs Hartweg to have 'passes signed by the alcaldes [municipal magistrate] of the places which you pass through before leaving the Mexican territory'
