They have not received an answer to his letter dated 11 Aug; they have no information about the reason why their boxes are still in Mexico; if the problem is the French blockade, Mr Strangways [William Fox-Strangways, British under-secretary of state for foreign affairs] has written to Her Majesty's vice-consul; if the issue is that the boxes were to be conveyed free of charge, the Society is willing to pay; all the boxes contain perishable objects, but the order of priority for sending them is No 6, No 10, No 11, No 4, No 5, No 9, No 7, No 8
