Six cases of plants have arrived on the Andes from Vera Cruz [Veracruz, Mexico] [annotated in a different hand: 'HS27 & 32']; they will send these to London by rail unless they hear otherwise; they will address the plants to the Society, to avoid trouble with the customs
Annotated at the foot of the page in the same hand as the previous annotation: 'See Mr Hartweg [Theodor Hartweg] No 31, researches from North Coast, all epiphytes and Cercis[?], sent from Oaxaca [Mexico] May 27th'
