Letter of recommendation for Theodor Hartweg, who has been given letters of introduction from the Earl of Aberdeen [George Hamilton-Gordon, British foreign secretary] to the British consuls in Mexico; 'the directors of this company are also anxious that the object of Mr Hartweg's journey should be promoted by their agents' by storing and forwarding packages and giving captains instructions for transporting them; 'this is not intended, however, to give you any authority to forward such packages free of freight, or at any other than the company's established rates of charge'
