She would like to enter a publisher’s competition with a prize of £500 for a biography of a person of interest; she has often wondered if William Robinson would allow her to write his biography; it may help Robinson through the winter; the work is to comprise 80,000 words so it would need to include some correspondence, and could include an account of Gravetye and of his life work; she asks Gilpin to decide whether or not to put it to Robinson based on what would be best for his good; she has the greatest admiration and respect for his achievements; if the work did not win the prize there should be no difficulty getting it published elsewhere, if he agreed
