Robinson’s scathing article, ‘Civil War and Party Lawyers’, is a strong pill for the government to swallow; he only hopes that when they seize a picture it won’t be a Fantin; he is sorry Robinson is so hard on Haldane [Richard Haldane, 1st Viscount Haldane]; he wonders how Robinson’s quarrel will end as they will have to enforce the law unless like Ulster he raises an army; he tried to see Robinson a while ago but missed him; he would like to visit him but his foot is still weak; the country around Robinson must look fine
