She thanks Robinson for his sympathy; her grief is terrible but soothed by this beautiful place being her home; she has never been here before in the early summer and is surprised by the wealth and beauty of the wild flowers; she is too unwell to write the letter herself so asks him to excuse it being dictated. Annotated on reverse in Robinson’s hand, ‘from Lady Wynn after Sir Watkin’s death, June 4th 1885’ [presumably date of receipt]
