His things go tonight; he worries he has forgotten something as he has been distracted with official letters from the India and Colonial Offices up to the last moment, as well as evidence before the ‘Aid to Africa’ Committee, his report for Parliament on Kew, prefaces for the ‘Botanical Magazine’ and endless garden arrangement; they will expect Maw on Friday, whenever is convenient; he has given up on visiting the Atlas Mountains [Morocco], as he has not received an answer from the Sultan [Muhammad IV], but Cosson [Ernest Cosson, botanist], who is visiting Kew, says there is very interesting vegetation to be found around Mogador [Essaouira, Morocco]
