He asks if Maw knows anything about the writer of the enclosed [enclosure not present]; they lack only four of the listed plants at Kew, and he has written to ask whether the writer will sell them; the writer also has two plants of Ranunculus lyallii and he asks if Maw would be interested in one, and if so asks him to go and see the plants and let him know what state they are in; he has marked on the list which four they do not have, which he will buy at a fair price if they are in a good state
