Written from 45 Charles Street, Berkeley Square [London]. Manuscript
She asks if Maw and Co ever make artistic ware plates; she wants to try and paint the coat of arms on a buff plate, but they are ‘such vulgar things’ in London; she would pay for any that Maw thought would suit the purpose; as it will take great pains, she would like to paint on a plate worthy of her trouble; she will be away until the 23rd. Dated 8th [c.1879-1885; this letter closely precedes MAW/1/300, written from Stillyans; Nevill moved to Stillyans in 1879; other letters from her to Maw in this collection were written 1874-1881]
