Hand-coloured glass lantern slide of ruined arches at Wenlock Priory. On the left is the figure of a woman wearing a hat. Ink inscription on recto, '275'. Inscription on recto, 'Wenlock Abbey. 4999'. Typed label on recto, 'Photograph by Reginald A. Malby & Co., Copyright. As this slide is especially prepared for use with artificial light it should not be criticised by daylight'. It is possible the woman in the image is Edith Carroll Perkins. Wenlock Priory, Shropshire, is a ruined 12th century monastry. It is cared for by English Heritage.
