Scope & content
Coloured engraved plate depicting a 'green house' design. Described in the book as being 'at White-knights near Reading, Berks'. The estate was acquired by the Marquis of Blandford in 1798. By 1819 however, the estate was dispersed as the Marquis was in debt, and the original house was demolished in 1840. Includes a transverse section, elevation and plan with a scale bar to the bottom. The book plate bears the imprints 'Transverse Section', 'Elevation', 'Plan' and 'London Published Sepr. 1st. 1806, by J. Taylor, 59, High Holborn'.
